Misty Morning

The mist didn’t quite work out. I wanted the branches further away to be almost hidden, but couldn’t pull it off. Part of the trouble is that I started from a bright green underpainting and it was a pain to white it out later, so I didn’t feel for much after that ordeal. In the end, I wanted something like a ray of sunshine on the grass, but couldn’t figure out where it might come from, and ended up putting some slightly incongruous blue flowers in the middle of nothing. All in all, drawing “from the mind” is hard!
